DEG Inquiries – They Work

This is a great example of how the Database Enhancement Gateway (DEG) empowers our industry, our technicians, and our businesses to help improve the labor times we work with. This inquiry was submitted by a technician’s helper who had never used the DEG, or submitted an inquiry before. It was submitted to CCC on a Friday, and the shop had an answer by Tuesday of the following week. This just goes to show how effective the communication is, and how easy the process is even for those without previous experience.  The DEG response/resolution follows:

After review, the Quarter Panel group has been updated with the following changes:

1. The estimated work time applied to the Quarter Panel (right) has been updated to19.5 hours from 15.5 hours.

2. The estimated work time applied to the Quarter Panel (left) has been updated to 20.0 hours from 16.0 hours.

3. A footnote has been applied to the Quarter Panel that states, “LABOR: Time is for complete replacement, for sectioning, see SECTIONING OPERATIONS.”

4. The estimated work time applied to the ”Section quarter panel” operation for the right side has been updated to 18.5 hours from 12.0 hours.

5. The estimated work time applied to the ”Section quarter panel” operation for the left side had been updated to 19.0 hours from 13.0 hours.

6. A footnote has been applied to the “Section quarter panel” operation in the headnotes that states, “LABOR: Time is for procedure as outlined in OEM service manual.”
