Crash Repair Info

Crash Repair Info for Consumers – Helping consumers through the collision repair process!

The purpose of this site is to provide vehicle owners with information they can use to make informed decisions about the collision repair of their vehicle, no matter what vehicle brand they own.

Statistically, consumers will be in an auto accident about once every seven-to-ten years. Given the infrequency of such an event, most consumers don’t know where to turn for information about collision repair. This website—and the websites attached to it from the participating auto manufacturers—is designed to help bridge that gap.

I was involved in an auto accident on Dec 22 in a six month old Subaru Outback. The other company has claimed liability. To date, my vehicle has yet to be repaired. The current issue is that they are forcing me to use LKQ sheet metal parts for my rear left quarter panel repair. I am not being given the option of OEM as they are telling me they unable to locate them. I do not want LKQ parts on my vehicle. I will not accept the repairs involving these parts. Do I have the right to refuse the LKQ parts in this situation? The other insurance company is telling me I have to accept or they will no longer cover this claim.

I have a 1968 Buick Skylark with a vinyl roof that needs to be painted, and rust removed. Would you work on that?
